Copyprints of the images taken during 1918-1919 are available in NTRS 2886.

Function / Content

This series consists of a photograph album of copyprints relating to Darwin. Of the 32 copyprints, images include the arrival of the Smith brothers' aeroplane in 1919, the demonstrations against the Northern Territory Administrator (Dr Gilruth) in 1919 and gifts presented to Queen Elizabeth II in 1954. The album is missing three photographs relating to Cavenagh Street, the visit of the Commissioner of Victorian Railways, and the burning effigy of Dr Gilruth; however these images are available in the copyprints (NTRS 2886, nos 6, 22, and 25).
